In February this year I was taking Ciprofloxacin; 500mg, twice a day for 10 days. Since I have stopped taking this medication, I am experiencing a painful, burning sensation of my skin( feet,legs,scalp).

I have been prescribed ciprofloxacin five times over the last three years to treat UTI. Only other meds I am on are low doses of Lisinipril and Simvastatin along with vitamins including calcium. A seven day dose takes care of my UTI with no adverse side affect whatsoever. Hope others have same, similar results.

Terribly affected by Cipro. Somehow affected by brain functions. Side effects of insomnia, feeling of doom, ear ringing, red face, joint pain, and more are still present over 2 years later. Doctor says it is only anxiety. There is lots of research of long term effects of this drug, and nothing has been done to stop the use of all quinilones. Some have been taken off the market but not all. I would never take this drug. Check out askapatient.com for similar incidents.

I was given Cipro for a sinus infection - 2 week supply. My INR did go up and I had to increase the amount of Warfarin I am taking. I hope this is tempory. No longer on Cipro.

My mom was put on Cipro for a UTI. Was a total wonder drug! She was totally demented before she started and gradually cleared until she is back to her right mind after 5 days on it! Only sign of the UTI was the confusion and dementia. She denied any burning or pain with urination.
